Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A Driver to support our grading operations through local material hauling. In this role, you will operate side dump and straight dump trucks to transport rock, dirt, and related materials between nearby job sites.
This position offers local routes only—no long-haul or interstate driving, providing a consistent schedule and excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including side dump and straight dump trucks
- Transport rock, dirt, and other materials between local job sites
- Navigate active construction and grading environments with strong awareness of surroundings
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Secure loads and verify proper loading/unloading procedures
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, supervisors, and site teams
- Maintain accurate logs and required documentation
- Keep trucks clean and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Experience operating Class A vehicles (side dump and/or dump trucks preferred)
- Ability to safely maneuver vehicles in construction and grading job sites
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to pass:
- DOT physical
- Drug screening
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
- Ability to perform equipment inspections and identify issues
- Experience working with a grading or construction company
- Familiarity hauling rock, dirt, or similar materials
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and remain dependable

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $52000.00/yr.
