This role serves as a Material Handler II on the 2nd shift, operating powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and move materials throughout the warehouse. You will handle tile products, perform frequent heavy lifting, and support both outbound and inbound warehouse operations while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate various powered industrial trucks, including stand-up reach trucks and sit-down forklifts, to pick customer orders and transport materials to packing stations or shipping areas.
- Pull and assemble customer orders accurately according to pick lists and warehouse procedures.
- Check outbound orders for accuracy and completeness before they leave the facility.
- Conduct inventory stock checks and assist with cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Restock and label vendor products, including tools, caulk, and other related items, ensuring they are stored in the correct locations.
- Move, store, and replenish materials throughout the warehouse to support efficient workflow and order fulfillment.
- Perform receiving duties, including receiving and unloading inbound material, verifying shipments, and processing inbound documentation as required.
- Stock inbound material in designated storage locations and ensure products are organized and accessible.
- Process customer returns in accordance with company procedures and update inventory as needed.
- Notify management of damaged shipments and assist with documentation needed for freight claims.
- Perform heavy lifting of boxes weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout each shift, including moving tile boxes from one pallet to another.
- Maintain a clean and organized facility by sweeping, removing trash, and assisting with restroom and general office maintenance as needed.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures as outlined in the Safety Program and promote a safe working environment.
- Report all accidents, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts to management promptly.
- Perform other related warehouse and material handling duties as required to support operations.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Certified sit-down forklift operator.
- 1 or more years of previous distribution or warehouse experience.
- Minimum of 6 months of previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience.
- Proven ability to operate stand-up reach trucks safely and efficiently.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting of up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Experience with material handling, including moving, storing, and replenishing materials.
- Ability to check outbound orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Capability to perform inventory stock checks and daily cycle counts.
- Experience with receiving duties, including unloading inbound materials and stocking products.
- Strong commitment to following safety rules and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Ability to work 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime and occasional Saturday work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating reach trucks or reach forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with pallet handling and pallet jack use.
- Comfort working with tile or other heavy building materials.
- Ability to maintain organized displays for tools, caulk, and related products.
- Strong attention to detail when labeling, stocking, and checking orders.
- Reliability and punctuality for consistent 2nd shift work.
- Flexibility to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as operational needs require.

Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse environment 1st shift 6am to 2:30pm and 2nd is working from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with the potential for overtime and occasional Saturday shifts. You will work around powered industrial trucks such as stand-up reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and other material handling equipment. The role involves frequent heavy lifting of boxes up to 70 lbs, repetitive movement of tile products between pallets, and extended periods of standing, walking, and operating equipment. The facility includes storage areas, packing stations, shipping and receiving zones, and general office and restroom areas that require regular cleaning and upkeep. You can expect a practical, safety-focused dress code appropriate for warehouse work, including closed-toe footwear and attire suitable for operating equipment and handling materials in an active industrial setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
