Job Highlights

• OR RN with Pre-Op, Intra-Op, and PACU/Post-Op experience required
• Will supervise an experienced CST working toward OR certification
• Scrub experience required due to CST supervision only; "We don't need them to scrub"
• Lower surgical volume facility

• Pre-Operative Nursing
  • Patient history and physical assessment
  • Vital signs assessment
  • IV starts
  • Pre-op medication administration
• Intra-Operative/Circulating Experience
  • General Surgery
  • Orthopedic Surgery
  • Cataract Procedures
  • C-Sections
  • Trauma Cases
• Post-Anesthesia Recovery (PACU)
  • Monitor vital signs and sedation levels
  • Manage PONV
  • Pain management
  • Oxygen administration and blood pressure support
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Call Requirements

• 14–15 Days of Call per Month
• After-hours call shared between 2 nurses

Additional Notes

• Anesthesia provider and surgeon remain onsite until patients are discharged from recovery
• Strong independent perioperative nursing skills required due to small team environment
• Leadership and oversight abilities important, as RN will supervise CST support staff.
