Job Details

Assist Cardiologists in performing invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac/vascular and electrophysiologic procedures.
Provide technical hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation using automated techniques.
Operate electrical/imaging equipment and computers.
Communicate and educate patients during procedures to alleviate anxiety.
Recognize and assist anesthesia needs for sedated or anesthetized patients.
Collaborate with Research RN/Coordinator for laboratory-based research.
Train and mentor team members.
Manage digital archiving system for patient images and reports.
Maintain aseptic technique and prepare instruments for sterilization.
Interpret EKG and alert physician of irregular activity.

Job Requirements

Minimum three (3) years of applicable experience in cardiac/vascular invasive procedures.
Knowledge of hemodynamic concepts, cardiac anatomy and physiology.
Competency in moderate sedation administration and policy protocol.
Knowledge of electrophysiologic (EP) concepts and fluoroscopic anatomy.
Ability to recognize and assist in treatment of complications from cardiac/vascular/EP procedures.
Ability to set up sterile table and prepare patients appropriately.
Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging equipment operation.
Advanced knowledge of EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition.
Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browsing.
Fluency in English and multicultural sensitivity.
Associates Degree in Related Field or Certificate of completion for Radiology Program.
