American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 4+ years of experience for a PICU night shift position at an acute care Magnet hospital in Alaska.

- Acute care Magnet hospital with 152 staffed beds \n
- PICU unit serving a high-acuity patient population including trauma, CCU, floor therapy, Level 2 ER, PICU, and NICU cases \n
- Patient diagnoses include respiratory therapy across Level 2 ER, PICU, NICU, CCU, and floor therapy settings \n
- Patient ratio of 1:4 \n
- Specialized equipment includes Servo U, V60 ventilator, and High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) \n
- Charting in Cerner EMR \n
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00), with possibility to fill in day shifts if necessary \n
- Every other weekend required \n
- Floating required within scope to meet facility needs across CCU, Flex Unit, SDU, PEDS, PICU, PCU, and FBS \n
- No on-call required \n
- 13-week assignment \n

- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required \n
- Minimum 4 years of respiratory therapy experience required \n
- PICU, NICU, and Adult ICU experience preferred \n
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT \n
- Cerner EMR experience \n
- Prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered \n
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible \n
- Alaska state license required prior to start date; compact license accepted at time of consideration for acute specialties — Alaska license required if applicable \n
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration \n
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration \n

- Provide respiratory therapy services across a high-acuity patient population in PICU, NICU, CCU, and floor therapy settings \n
- Any color or pattern scrubs are acceptable \n
- No cost parking available for travelers in the nearby parking structure \n
- All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application \n
