American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Eureka, California.

Location: Northern California coastal community
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:30). Weekend availability required to meet staffing needs. 40-hour orientation provided. Time off requests limited to no more than 7 days. Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
Highlights:- 13-week travel assignment in a culturally diverse Labor and Delivery unit
- Care for high-risk obstetrical patients with daily census of 15-20
- 11 rooms with 15 beds; approximately 20 patient visits daily
- Circulate on cesarean sections and assist with high-risk deliveries
- Postpartum care experience preferred
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
- Active California RN license (must be in hand; pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
- Epic charting system experience required
- Patient ratio experience of 1:3
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs; travelers may float first to sister facilities nearby
- Not available to candidates within 50-mile local radius or those who worked at this location within the past 3 months
