\n The Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and managing resources for one to two department(s) on a twenty-four (24) hour basis. These responsibilities include: budget responsibility; efficient/effective resource utilization; recruitment and effective/efficient management of assigned staff; achieving quality outcomes; performance improvement; monitoring of quality and \n
\n quantity of services; maintaining positive working relationships with staff and System departments and managers, and purchasing and maintaining equipment. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned \n

Education:\n
\n
\nMINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing\n
\nPREFERRED EDUCATION: Master Degree in Nursing, Business or Related Field\n
\n
Experience:\n
\n
\nMINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years experience in discipline or specialty. \n
\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years progressively responsible management experience\n
\n
Certifications:\n
\n
\nREQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse\n
\nPREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Specialty or Administration certification desired.\n
\nMust have active healthcare provider Basic Life \n
\nSupport on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of \n
\nhire.\n
