American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a hospital-based position requiring a minimum of 3 years of ultrasound experience, with first-time travelers welcome to apply.
Details- Hospital-based general ultrasound/sonography unit
- 5x8-hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call required
- Floating within the facility per scope of practice as needed
- 12-week contract
- Minimum of 3 years of ultrasound/sonography experience required
- Active professional licensure required at time of consideration, if applicable
- Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
- Local candidates are accepted
- RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- Travelers are expected to work major holidays that fall within their assignment period — if one or two major holidays occur, no holiday RTO may be requested; if three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two of them and may request one holiday off
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
- Travelers who have previously worked at this facility system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler
- No alternate shift or schedule requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
- Full compliance is required prior to the start of the assignment
