Armed guard card holders are eligible for a $5,000 Sign-on BONUS for Full-Time or $3,000 for Part Time.

As a Security Officer Armed - Full Time in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed, driving patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring an agile, reliable, and innovative approach, working with teamwork and integrity while putting people first in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with site post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to enforce location rules regarding visitor entry, restricted areas, and/or employee and contractor movement.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or suspicious activity, and communicate with supervisors, local authorities, and site contacts as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
