CNC Machining Specialist -- Multi‑Axis Production

Your Day as a CNC Machining Specialist

Step onto the swing/afternoon shift in a well-established Bend machine shop supported by PrideStaff, a recruiting partner for Central Oregon businesses. You’ll run modern CNC equipment, keep production moving, and ensure every part meets spec.

What You'll Do

• Operate CNC equipment: Load/unload parts, verify programs, set tool/work offsets, and fine-tune adjustments on Okuma, Makino, or Fanuc-controlled machines to keep parts in conformance.
• Own quality: Read blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), inspect features and tolerances, and complete deburring/finishing to deliver clean, accurate components.
• Hit goals safely: Meet production rates while following all safety protocols. Flag equipment issues promptly and collaborate with your team to resolve production and quality concerns.
• Care for the cell: Perform basic preventive maintenance and maintain a clean, organized workstation.

Experience & Skills

• 2–3 years of CNC machine operating experience; manual machining exposure is a plus.
• Strong math aptitude and hands-on use of calipers, ID/OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales.
• Ability to interpret prints and GD&T.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000/9001 practices.
