Shipping & Receiving/Driver - 1st Shift - Now Hiring

About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Shipping & Receiving/Driver
• Pay Rate Range: $23-$25/Hour
• Location: St. Paul, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri 6AM-4PM with some required OT.
• Position Type: Temporary to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Class D is required. CDL & Forklift are a plus but not required
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Be able to sit in a truck cab and remain focused on the road for extended periods of time.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Inspect Incoming Shipments: Verify that delivered goods match the purchase orders and packing slips.
• Quality Control: Check for damage, defects, or shortages; document and report any discrepancies immediately.
• Unloading: Safely unload trucks using manual labor, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
• Inventory Logging: Enter received data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and route items to their designated storage locations.
• Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack orders accurately according to customer invoices.
• Labeling & Documentation: Generate shipping labels, Bill of Lading (BOL), and customs documentation for international orders.
• Carrier Coordination: Schedule pickups with carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL) and ensure all outgoing cargo is properly secured.
• Packaging: Select appropriate containers and packing materials to minimize transit damage.
• Transport steel beams, sheet metal, and finished assemblies to construction sites and client facilities.
• Route Planning: Plan the most efficient routes to meet delivery windows while considering truck height and weight restrictions.
• Secure Loading: Use straps, chains, and binders to secure heavy metal loads, ensuring zero movement during transit.
• Customer Service: Act as a professional representative of the company when arriving at job sites and collecting signatures.
• Loading/Unloading: Assist the shop team in loading the truck and coordinate with onsite crane or forklift operators for unloading.
• Documentation: Verify that the load matches the dispatch ticket and report any discrepancies or transit damage immediately.
