About this job
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join us in elevating our software products which cover our customers critical needs.
The Software Engineer will be involved in the entire lifecycle of the development (design, programming, unit testing and documentation) of information systems from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed standards using Oracle technology. We have a team of highly skilled and experienced Software Engineers and a practice of mission-critical software solutions to be used in highly critical systems.
Main responsibilities
• Design, programming and unit testing of business requirements in PL/SQL technology
• Documenting changes in code
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features
• Investigation and resolution of deployment and/or functional issues in internal and customer environments
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
Requirements
• University level degree (or higher education institute) in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field of study
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing complex backend business logic (packages, stored procedures, triggers, and functions)
• Very strong background/experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts, understanding of database design, data modeling, and normalization principles
• Experience with SQL query optimization and database performance analysis
• Excellent command of English language
• Strong teamwork skills
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Incentive to learn and improve technical development skills
Desired Skills
• Experience in the development of Information Systems using various technologies
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices
• Experience with Oracle APEX
• Experience with REST APIs, web services, and system integrations
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and automated deployment processes
• Experience with report development software packages, such as Oracle Analytics OBIEE or Oracle BI Publisher will be considered a plus
• Experience in Source Control Tools (GIT)
