Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to support inventory control and receiving operations. This role is responsible for processing incoming materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, resolving receiving discrepancies, and coordinating with suppliers, buyers, production teams, and internal departments. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping/receiving, inventory management, and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Inventory Management (90%)

• Receive and process all incoming shipments and deliveries on a daily basis
• Process Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) and update inventory records accordingly
• Accurately receive materials into inventory and maintain on-hand inventory balances
• Update inventory locations and investigate inventory movement discrepancies
• Communicate receiving discrepancies with suppliers and Buyers/Planners
• Obtain and maintain shipping documentation and packing records as needed
• Coordinate material returns, exchanges, and logistics with suppliers
• Expedite critical receipts for Production and Sales departments when required
• Research receiving issues related to Accounts Payable and provide audit documentation upon request
• Route incoming deliveries to the appropriate departments or destinations
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve inventory and receiving concerns
• Work closely with Sales and Service teams to resolve return-related questions

Administrative & Operational Support (10%)

• Provide backup support for the Shipping Coordinator
• Assist with filing and maintaining shipping and sales order documentation
• Support inventory and logistics projects as assigned
• Perform additional duties as required by management

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

Experience

• Previous receiving, shipping, inventory, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred
• Experience working with Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documentation preferred

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with ERP systems such as Syspro or similar inventory management software
• Strong data entry and inventory tracking skills

• Approximately 80% of work performed in an office environment
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer and documentation tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain normal correctable vision

Working Conditions

• Schedule determined by Supervisor and may occasionally include hours that overlap with production schedules, including some Saturdays
• Combination of office and warehouse-related activities
