MARKETING AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Best Life Home Team | North County San Diego, CA
Full-Time | Primarily Remote with Field Work | $25-28/hr + Performance Bonuses
THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE ASSISTANT ROLE
We are a high-performing, hospitality-driven, media-focused real estate team in North County San Diego, and we are looking for someone who wants to be a genuine partner in building something, not just someone who wants a task list and a paycheck.
About 30-40% of this role is dedicated to marketing strategy and execution at a real level: YouTube content planning, scripting support, working with videographers and editors, high-quality Canva design, and Instagram strategy that actually moves the needle. We want to hire someone who eventually becomes better at this than we are. If you have agency experience, a content background, or you have built something from scratch that you are genuinely proud of, we want to hear about it.
The other 60-70% is operations, systems, client experience, and MLS work that keeps a busy real estate team running at a high level. You will be trusted, given flexibility, and expected to deliver results without being micromanaged.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Base Pay: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour based on experience
Buyer Transaction Bonus: $200 per closed buyer transaction
Listing Bonus (Team Lead transactions): $300 per closed listing
Listing Bonus (Team Member transactions): $250 per closed listing

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a ground-floor opportunity with a genuine career path. We are not looking for someone to fill a seat. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, sees broken processes and fixes them, brings ideas to the table without being asked, and wants to grow into an increasingly important role on this team over time.
This role starts as a Marketing and Administrative Assistant. For the right person, it grows into an Executive Assistant role and eventually a Director of Operations position. We will invest in you, including covering your California real estate license costs when the time comes for advancement.
Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings and weekends for field activities.
Location: Primarily remote. Field work throughout San Diego and North County. Must be based in San Diego County, ideally North County or Carlsbad adjacent.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Marketing and Content (approximately 30-40%% of the role)
This is where we want your creative and strategic brain. We need someone who can think about our brand and our audience, not just post content.
Communicate creative direction and editing notes to our videographer and editor to ensure consistent quality and vision
Design high-quality graphics, listing materials, and branded assets in Canva at a professional level
Create and manage our social media content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, and Google Business
Assist in growing our YouTube channel by using our detailed platform strategy and sizeable audience to execute our vision. (You will not be on camera or editing videos)
Run listing ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram
Manage our Google review process and proactively generate reviews
Use AI tools daily, including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, to support content, writing, and research
Build one-page property websites for listings
Coordinate and send community mailers
Administrative and Systems
Schedule showings and manage the team calendar
Maintain CRM records and keep our database clean and current
Triage the email inbox and manage follow-ups
Coordinate contractors and complete field check-ins as needed
Document, improve, and take ownership of SOPs and internal processes
MLS and Listing Management
Enter and manage all MLS listings, updates, and compliance
Coordinate pre-listing preparation and communicate with all parties
Be present on listing media days
Send weekly seller status reports and handle listing appointment follow-up
Client Success Systems
Create and distribute a monthly digital newsletter and quarterly mailed newsletter
Create and distribute greeting cards and quarterly graphics highlighting local small businesses
Create neighborhood guides for clients
Assist our Director of Client Experience with ongoing client retention needs
Field Activities (throughout San Diego County)
Attend listing media days
Open house setup and breakdown
Lockbox and signage installs and removals
Client walkthroughs and inspections
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Skills and experience matter, but what we really want is a partner. We want someone with the self-awareness to know what they are good at, the drive to keep getting better, and the character to be trusted with a business we have spent nearly a decade building.
Real marketing experience: agency background, content production, video strategy, or brand work that goes beyond posting on Instagram
Strong Canva skills at a design-thinking level, not just template editing
Self-motivated and results-driven. You manage your own time, you deliver without being chased, and you take pride in what you produce
Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable with technology and genuinely excited to keep learning new tools and systems
Experience with AI tools is a strong plus
Familiarity with Google Suite, Asana, and Canva preferred
Based in San Diego County, ideally North County or Carlsbad adjacent
Reliable transportation for field activities throughout San Diego County
A California real estate license is not required to start but will be required for advancement, and we will cover that cost
