Safety Coordinator / Construction

Location: DMV Area
Pay Range: $30–$38/hr depending on experience
Duration: 6 months to long-term opportunity

Talent Corps is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support active steel construction projects throughout the DMV area. This role will focus on maintaining OSHA compliance, enforcing safety standards, and supporting field crews on commercial and industrial jobsites.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily safety audits and jobsite inspections
• Monitor crews for OSHA and site safety compliance
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings
• Assist with incident reports, investigations, and corrective actions
• Ensure proper PPE usage onsite
• Coordinate with Superintendents and field leadership on safety concerns
• Assist with site orientations and safety documentation
• Identify and correct jobsite hazards involving steel erection, rigging, and material handling

Requirements:

• OSHA 30 Certification required
• 2+ years of construction safety experience preferred
• Steel construction experience preferred
• Knowledge of fall protection, rigging, and steel erection safety
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Reliable transportation
