Vehicle Test & Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Automotive Technician to support vehicle testing, maintenance, and development activities. This role involves performing routine vehicle repairs, installing test equipment, troubleshooting issues, and preparing vehicles for emissions and performance testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, filters, and spark plug replacement.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical vehicle issues.
• Install and set up vehicle testing and data acquisition equipment.
• Replace vehicle components such as exhaust systems, catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, engines, and transmissions as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for emissions and development testing.
• Troubleshoot vehicle and test equipment problems.
• Maintain parts inventory and order supplies when needed.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Complete work orders, documentation, and other administrative tasks.
• Work closely with engineering and project teams to support testing activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or Technical/Vocational Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of automotive maintenance and repair experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform engine and transmission work.
• Knowledge of gasoline, hybrid, and electric vehicle systems.
• Experience with vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Windows).
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
