Job Description
Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Accessioner to support our client’s medical facility in following cities, Wichita, KS. This is a 3-month assignment and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accessioner I to join a busy laboratory team in Wichita, KS. This position plays a critical role in specimen processing by receiving, labeling, packaging, and entering laboratory samples into the system accurately and efficiently.
This is a fast-paced laboratory environment requiring strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with biological specimens while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
Note: Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Accession blood and urine specimens received from physician offices
· Accurately label and process specimens for testing
· Perform data entry and maintain specimen records
· Package and prepare specimens for laboratory processing
· Verify specimen information and ensure accuracy
· Maintain compliance with laboratory procedures and quality standards
· Assist with specimen handling and workflow support as needed
· Lift and move packages and specimens throughout the shift (up to approximately 40 lbs)
Skills & Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED
· Strong 10-key typing skills
· Strong data entry skills
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to work independently in a structured environment
· Ability to lift up to 40 pounds during the shift
Additional Information:
· Location: Wichita, KS
· Job Type: 03 Months (Contract to Hire)
· Pay Range: $16 - $17.75 hourly
· Shifts: Mon – Fri: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
