Traveling Safety Coordinator – Data Center Construction Project
Location: Trenton, OH
Start Date: July 6, 2026
Duration: 7-Week Contract (Potential Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Safety Coordinator to support an electrical subcontractor on a data center construction project in Trenton, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety, prior data center experience, and hands-on knowledge of electrical construction activities, trenching, and excavation safety.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $45.00-$50.00/hour
- Per Diem: $133/day (available to candidates residing more than 60 miles from the project site)
- Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 5:45 AM – 4:45 PM
- Contract Duration: 7 weeks
- Potential for permanent employment based on performance and project needs
Essential Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce site-specific safety policies and procedures
- Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and observations
- Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and employee training sessions
- Support project management and field supervision in maintaining compliance with OSHA standards and company safety requirements
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns and provide corrective action recommendations
- Ensure subcontractors and field personnel comply with project safety expectations
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting
Required Qualifications
- Prior data center construction experience required
- Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
- Minimum 1 year in a dedicated construction safety role
- OSHA 30 Construction Certification required
- Experience conducting safety training and new hire orientations
- Experience performing safety inspections and audits on active construction projects
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Required Knowledge & Experience
- Excavation and trenching safety
- Confined space entry
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Electrical construction activities and installation safety
- Fall protection systems
- Mobile equipment safety
- Hazard recognition and mitigation in active construction environments
