Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative / Inside Sales Representative to join our Anaheim team. This role combines customer service, order processing, and inside sales support. The ideal candidate will be personable, detail-oriented, computer literate, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
This is not a cold-calling position. You will work with an established customer base, assisting customers by phone, email, and at our will-call counter while supporting daily sales and operational activities.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift scheduled between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM – OT as needed
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer calls and provide product and order support.
- Make outbound calls to vendors and suppliers regarding product availability, pricing, and order status.
- Enter customer sales orders accurately into the company accounting system.
- Create and send purchase orders and order confirmations.
- Assist customers at the will-call counter and provide exceptional customer service.
- Research products and part numbers using catalogs, vendor resources, and internal systems.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and order status.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Gmail, and company software systems daily.
- Maintain accurate customer and order records.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience required.
- Inside sales, order entry, or industrial distribution experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic to intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and email applications.
- Ability to learn product information, software systems, and company processes.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while assisting customers at the will-call counter.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment as needed.
- Ability to perform repetitive keyboard and computer work.
Work Environment
This position is based in both an office and warehouse setting. Employees will regularly interact with customers, vendors, and team members while supporting daily operations in a professional and safety-conscious environment.
