Inventory Management Specialist

6+ Months Contracts

Pay Range:- $17.00-$20.00/hr

Description:

Inventory Management A 9/80 Reg Start time : 7:00AM-4:30PM

Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Receives incoming materials, unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.

Maintains records of received goods, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.

Stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.

May perform wood shop functions such as operating power saws and nail guns in building skids and crates.

Lifts heavy items and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, tow motors, forklifts, etc. upon receipt of internal certification.

Overall Summary

Entry-level support individual contributor.

Work is closely supervised.

Work consists of tasks that are routine.

Explains facts and practices related to job area.

Education & Experience

Requires minimal job knowledge/skills.

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.

Responsible for performing physical or administrative tasks supporting receiving, as well as responsible for the organization and maintenance of the stockroom inventory.

Lifting more than 40 lbs is a 2 person lift some use of power tools, hands tools (very occasional)

Requires minimal job knowledge/skills.

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.

Good basic computer skills
