Job Description
About Us

2BGlass is a small, family-run glass studio with a big community presence. We are best known for our public glassblowing events, vibrant retail studio, and growing online community. Each season, we carefully pack and ship thousands of handblown pieces to customers across the country.

Our team moves quickly—not out of chaos, but because of growth and opportunity. Every day brings something different, and we are looking for someone who enjoys staying active, solving problems, and helping a small business operate at a high level.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, self-driven Order Fulfillment & Studio Assistant to support online order fulfillment, inventory organization, seasonal events, and day-to-day studio operations.

The primary focus of this hands-on role is ensuring that customer orders are prepared, packed, and shipped accurately, efficiently, and beautifully. You will also help organize products and supplies, maintain the studio and retail environment, assist customers, prepare for events, and provide practical project support to the Creative Director as priorities arise.

This is an active, varied position for someone who takes pride in completing work carefully, notices what needs attention, and is comfortable shifting between fulfillment, studio projects, customers, and events.

Order Fulfillment & Inventory — Approximately 60%

  • Pick, pack, label, and ship online and in-store orders with accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional presentation
  • Review orders carefully to ensure the correct products, quantities, packaging, and shipping information
  • Perform final quality control before products are sold or shipped
  • Prepare products by signing, tagging, labeling, barcoding, and assembling charms and packaging elements
  • Sort, count, organize, and stage finished products for inventory, display, events, and fulfillment
  • Receive incoming inventory and supplies and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Monitor packaging, shipping, office, and event supplies and proactively communicate when items need to be reordered
  • Help improve fulfillment and inventory systems to reduce mistakes, unnecessary steps, and delays
  • Assist with UPS pickups, shipping issues, returns, damaged-package claims, and other order-related needs
Studio, Retail & Customer Support — Approximately 20%

  • Keep fulfillment, inventory, retail, and back-of-house areas clean, orderly, stocked, and ready for daily operations
  • Maintain product displays, pricing, labeling, merchandising, and inventory organization
  • Greet studio guests, assist customers, answer basic product questions, and complete purchases with warmth and professionalism
  • Help respond to order-related customer questions and provide thoughtful follow-up when needed
  • Support product launches, inventory counts, studio organization projects, and seasonal transitions
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for our friendly shop dog, including fresh water and general workspace awareness
Event Support — Approximately 15%

  • Participate in required seasonal events and public glassblowing experiences
  • Assist with event preparation, product organization, packing, transportation, setup, and teardown
  • Support checkout, inventory replenishment, customer hospitality, and crowd flow during events
  • Help keep event displays polished, stocked, and organized throughout the day
  • Remain flexible and solution-focused during busy event periods
Creative Director & General Studio Assistance — Approximately 5%

  • Work with the Creative Director to prioritize fulfillment, inventory, event, and studio projects
  • Provide hands-on assistance with product launches, merchandising, event preparation, and other growth-related initiatives
  • Complete occasional business and personal errands, including supply pickups, UPS drop-offs, and other time-sensitive needs
  • Assist with light digital communication, such as creating Facebook event pages or responding to straightforward customer messages
  • Contribute to shared studio cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, restroom upkeep, breakroom cleaning, and maintaining common areas
  • Tend to plants and visual details that help keep the studio welcoming and professionally presented
Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in fulfillment, shipping, inventory, retail, studio operations, warehouse support, or a similar hands-on role
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented, especially when handling customer orders and fragile products
  • Able to work efficiently without sacrificing care, quality, or presentation
  • Calm, organized, and capable of adjusting as priorities change
  • Self-motivated and able to recognize what needs to be completed without waiting for constant direction
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to remain focused across multiple responsibilities
  • Comfortable learning and following detailed packing, inventory, quality-control, and studio procedures
  • Process-oriented problem solver who looks for practical ways to save time, prevent errors, and improve workflow
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Kind and professional when interacting with customers, coworkers, vendors, and event guests
  • Confident enough to take initiative while remaining willing to follow direction precisely
  • Receptive to direct feedback and committed to continually improving performance
  • Reliable, steady, and willing to step in when the team is busy
  • Comfortable working in a close-knit, family-run business with open and candid communication
  • Proficient in or comfortable learning Google Workspace, Excel, Shopify, Etsy, Square, UPS shipping software, and related systems
  • Reliable transportation for errands and event support
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds, climb ladders, remain on your feet for extended periods, and perform light tool work
  • Comfortable working around and helping care for a friendly shop dog
How We’ll Define Success

  • Online and in-store orders are shipped on time, accurately, and beautifully presented
  • Fragile products are handled carefully and fulfillment mistakes remain minimal
  • Inventory, packaging materials, and finished products stay organized and properly stocked
  • The fulfillment area remains clean, efficient, and prepared for changing order volume
  • Customers feel genuinely appreciated in person and through order-related communication
  • Studio and retail spaces remain polished, welcoming, and ready for customers
  • Events are organized and well supported from preparation through teardown
  • The Creative Director receives dependable assistance with studio, product, and event priorities
  • You become someone the team can trust to notice what needs attention and follow it through to completion
