Family Services Coordinator

Dayspring Head Start is a high quality, comprehensive child developmental program for children three to five years of age and their families.  The program is designed to address the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each and every child in the program by providing a safe, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore their environments.  Dayspring Head Start realizes that in order to assist the child with these issues that it must provide an arena where the entire family can be supported and their needs can be addressed.

Job Description

Case Management/Social Work position working with families in Head Start.

Hardworking, self-starting team player with excellent writing and documentation skills.

Individual must be flexible, have great interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Seeking self-starter with unyielding work ethics that is highly motivated to learn the business of Head Start.

Individual must be able to multitask, work on a team, and have excellent customer service skills.

Job Duties

Maintains updated individual health records on children.

Meticulous documentation and follow-up.

Required home visits.

Responsible for ongoing recruitment of families and continuous community outreach.

Conducts parent workshops independently.

Knowledge of computer databases.

Assists parents in assessing their needs.

Family advocate.

Requirements

Experience working in a social service arena preferred.

Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.

Must be able to adhere to deadlines.

Good computer skills.

Required Education

AA in Human Service Field

BA in Human Service Field (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, etc.)

Must be able to work daytime hours (8am – 4:30pm)

Head Start experience preferred

Must have a car
