Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Telemetry

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Shift: 12-Hour Nights
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced Neuro Telemetry unit at a Level I Trauma facility. The RN will provide high-quality patient care for a diverse population including stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal surgery, neurological, cardiac, and medical-surgical patients.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment, managing telemetry patients, interpreting cardiac rhythms, administering and titrating critical medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms.
• Care for patients with neurological and telemetry-related diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin as required.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR.
• Maintain infection control and sterile technique standards.
• Participate in bedside reporting and patient education.
• Float to appropriate units based on staffing needs.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent Acute Care RN experience
• Previous Level I Trauma experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Neuro experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• Strong EKG interpretation skills
• Experience with titratable cardiac and insulin drips
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
