Surgical Technologist

Title: Surgical Technologist
Location: Neptune, NJ 07754
Duration: 13 weeks of contract (possibility of extension)
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM 3 x 12 Weekends Required Holidays Required No On-Call Requirement No Float Requirement
Payrate: $45/hour to $48/hour
**Non-Taxable Per Diem is provided to the qualified candidate living more than 50 miles from the facility**

Duties:

• Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up surgical equipment, and ensuring all required supplies are available before procedures.
• Assist surgeons, nurses, and other surgical team members during operations by passing instruments, supplies, and sterile equipment.
• Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures and adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Perform instrument counts before, during, and after surgery to ensure patient safety and compliance with operating room procedures.
• Inspect, clean, and organize surgical instruments and equipment, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Support patient care by assisting with patient positioning, preparation of the surgical site, and transportation as directed by the surgical team.

• Level 1 trauma center experience.
• Must do: vascular, ortho trauma, spine, neuro, endovascular.

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program or appropriate training program.
• Experience:
• Minimum 1 year of prior Surgical Tech experience in the acute care setting required.

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• BLS – AHA
