Job Description
Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embrace a rewarding contract opportunity making a difference in the educational and physical development of students in a supportive school environment. This full-time position runs throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. Work four days each week (Monday through Thursday, 8 hours per day), with four select Fridays reserved for Child Find activities. You'll be serving across a diverse group of 21 schools, taking over a full, established caseload with the committed support of two on-site PTAs.
Required Background & Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license
- Previous experience as a school-based PT or in pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Understanding of IEP development, documentation, and participation in IEP meetings
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and therapy techniques relevant to school-aged children
- Familiarity with caseload management and collaborative, multidisciplinary work
- Effective communicator, able to interact with students, staff, and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine their therapy needs and evaluate progress
- Create and implement treatment plans in accordance with IEP objectives
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and consult with educational teams
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students across various campuses
- Document interventions, progress, and outcomes in compliance with district and federal guidelines
- Lead or support Child Find screenings on select Fridays
- Work collaboratively with educational staff and two on-site PTAs
