EEG Technician

JOB SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced EEG Technician to perform routine and continuous electroencephalogram (EEG) procedures. The role involves preparing patients, applying scalp electrodes correctly, monitoring brain wave activity, and ensuring accurate diagnostic recordings. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple hospital units. Key Responsibilities • Perform routine and continuous EEG procedures. • Prepare patients and apply scalp electrodes accurately. • Monitor brain wave activity and ensure precise recordings. • Assist neurologists and radiologists with diagnostic testing. • Conduct bedside EEGs in ICU, ER, NICU, and inpatient units. • Document patient history, test results, and clinical observations. • Troubleshoot EEG equipment and maintain testing supplies. • Follow hospital safety, infection control, and documentation protocols. Required Qualifications • Proven experience performing EEG procedures in clinical settings. • Strong knowledge of EEG equipment operation and troubleshooting. • Ability to work in high-acuity environments (ICU, ER, NICU). • Excellent communication and documentation skills. • Detail-oriented and able to follow strict hospital protocols. Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience supporting neurologists and radiologists in diagnostic testing. • Familiarity with advanced EEG monitoring techniques. • Exposure to pediatric and neonatal EEG procedures. Certifications • Certification as an EEG Technician or equivalent credential preferred. Education: Certification
