Financial Analyst

Robert Half is looking to hire a hybrid Financial Analyst to work with one of our well known clients in Mechanic Falls, Maine. This is a 6 month contract that is looking for a candidate to start immediately.

Key Functions – Financial Analyst

•Develop, maintain, and update financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning

•Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods

•Prepare management reporting packages with clear insights, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

•Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes

•Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and operational initiatives

•Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve financial performance

•Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals as needed

•Improve reporting tools, dashboards, and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy

•Ensure data integrity across financial systems and reporting platforms

•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

•2–5+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or similar role

•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, modeling)

•Experience with financial systems (e.g., ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday Financials)

•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills

•Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear business insights

•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

•Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy

•Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

•Experience with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus
