Job Summary W e are seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Technologist II to join our Blood Bank team in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting. The technologist will perform high-complexity laboratory testing, ensure accurate and timely reporting of results, and maintain compliance with laboratory policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will work independently while supporting quality patient care through precise laboratory practices. Key Responsibilities Per form blood bank testing, including blood typing, antibody screening, crossmatching, and compatibility testing. Analyze, interpret, and report laboratory results accurately and efficiently. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment. Follow established laboratory procedures, quality control protocols, and safety standards. Document test results and maintain accurate laboratory records using LIS and EMR systems. Participate in competency assessments, continuing education, and departmental quality improvement activities. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications B achelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field. Medical Technologist certification (ASCP, AMT, NCA, or equivalent). Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical laboratory experience. Experience performing high-complexity testing in a CLIA-regulated laboratory. Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS); EPIC experience preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced envi ronment. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a hospital blood bank setting. Familiarity with advanced transfusion medicine practices. Experience with CAP accreditation processes . Certifications ASCP, AMT, NCA, or equivalent (required). Education: Bachelors Degree
