Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is tailored for a dedicated Early Childhood Special Education Teacher eager to provide individualized care and instruction to preschoolers, ages 3-5, with diverse needs. You’ll play a vital role in an ECSE center-based program that emphasizes playful, intentional learning to lay the foundation for future growth.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Early Childhood Special Education licensure required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher (preschool/early childhood preferred)
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Experience conducting assessments and utilizing data to inform instruction
- Skilled in collaborating with families, instructional teams, and related service providers
- Strong understanding of positive behavior supports and social-emotional learning strategies
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary instructor and supporter for preschool children with a range of disabilities, addressing cognitive, social, emotional, communicative, and physical goals
- Develop, review, and update IEPs; regularly monitor and report student progress
- Embed intervention services within daily routines and play-based activities to encourage holistic growth
- Conduct individual assessments and classroom observations to guide eligibility and goal-setting processes
- Offer training, feedback, and ongoing support to paraprofessionals working directly with students
- Foster inclusive, engaging classroom environments through proactive behavioral and engagement strategies
- Collaborate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support for each child
This full-time, Monday-Friday position offers consistent hours (8:00-4:00) with both morning and afternoon sessions at a dedicated ECSE center.
