Job Description

The Field Research Associate conducts extensive analysis of market research initiatives for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare organizations, and prepares clear, data-driven reports for management. This role applies established concepts, practices, and procedures within a defined specialty area, following pre-established guidelines and instructions. The position operates under immediate supervision and typically reports to a supervisor or manager, making it well-suited for professionals with 1–3 years of relevant experience who are looking to deepen their expertise in field research and market analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive analysis of data gathered from market research initiatives in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare sectors.
  • Compile, interpret, and summarize research findings into clear, structured reports for management review and decision-making.
  • Perform field research activities in agricultural or related environments, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection.
  • Enter, validate, and maintain research and market data using office-based tools and systems, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
  • Follow pre-established research protocols, instructions, and guidelines to perform daily tasks consistently and accurately.
  • Apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the assigned specialty area to support ongoing research projects.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to clarify project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Report progress, key findings, and any issues encountered during field or office-based research to the supervising manager.
  • Support the preparation of presentations, summaries, and documentation that communicate research outcomes to internal stakeholders.
  • Adhere to organizational standards, policies, and quality assurance procedures in all aspects of research and reporting.

Essential Skills

  • 1–3 years of experience in field research, market research, or a closely related area.
  • Ability to conduct detailed analysis of research and market data and derive meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in data entry with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Working knowledge of agriculture or agricultural field research practices.
  • Familiarity with office-based tools and systems used for data management and reporting.
  • Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines consistently.
  • Strong written communication skills for preparing clear and concise reports for management.
  • Capability to work effectively under immediate supervision and respond constructively to feedback.
  • General knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within a relevant specialty field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of specialty (such as agriculture, life sciences, market research, or a related field) is preferred.
  • Experience working on market research initiatives in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environments.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and supervisors to meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple research tasks and reporting requirements.
  • Interest in developing deeper expertise in market research and data analysis within scientific or healthcare-related industries.

This is a Contract position based out of Woodland, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
