Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Material Technician to join our team. This position operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with working hours from 6:55 am to 3:00 pm. Some overtime may be required, resulting in adjusted hours from 5:55 am to 2:00 pm or 7:55 am to 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts as needed, but not as a full-time responsibility.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate delivery of products.
• Handle logistics and assembly duties.
• Conduct material handling using RF scanners.
• Perform inventory checks and data entry tasks.
• Lift boxes weighing between 35 to 50 pounds as required.
• Ensure products are packed and placed on trucks for customer delivery.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in forklift operation.
• Experience in production and scanning processes.
• Ability to perform inventory management and data entry.
• Skills in shipping and receiving, logistics, and assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in material handling.
• Ability to use RF scanners.
• Skills in picking and packing.

Work Environment

This role is based in a fast-paced production environment, requiring physical activity such as lifting and moving boxes. The team operates during standard business hours with occasional overtime. Casual attire is appropriate for this setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Athens, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.90 - $21.90/hr.
