Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher licensure in Rhode Island (RI), or eligible mild-moderate or severe license from MA or RI
- Experience or strong interest working with elementary-aged children (grades 3-4) with developmental disabilities
- Ability to effectively partner with teaching assistants and support staff in a 1:3 teacher-to-student ratio
- Commitment to ongoing learning; significant training and professional development will be provided in the upcoming school year
- Comfortable participating in virtual (Zoom) interviews with a panel of friendly district professionals
Core Responsibilities:
- Instruct a self-contained classroom of fewer than 8 students
- Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and other professionals to implement individualized education plans
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
