American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring 5+ years of nursing experience and moderate sedation competency.
Details\n- \n
- Interventional Radiology department within a Level III trauma hospital setting \n
- 5-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:4 \n
- Adult and geriatric patient population \n
- Uses Masimo monitoring systems, power injectors, ultrasound guidance equipment, and sedation equipment \n
- Cerner EMR used, familiarity preferred \n
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM \n
- Call requirements of approximately 2 weeks per month \n
- No floating or weekly guaranteed hours \n

- Active AZ RN license or compact license required \n
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required \n
- Moderate Sedation Certification/Competency required \n
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required, critical care experience preferred \n
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with ADN required, BSN preferred \n
- Critical care experience (ICU, ED, PACU, or equivalent) required \n
- Interventional Radiology nursing experience required \n
- Experience administering and monitoring conscious/moderate sedation required \n
- Strong IV access and patient assessment skills required \n
- Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural workflows required \n

- Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure patient care \n
- Assist with vascular access procedures, biopsies, drain placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fluoroscopic procedures \n
- Support a growing IR program with expanding procedural capabilities, including embolization and oncology-related interventional procedures \n
- Opportunity to assist in developing new IR service lines and advanced procedures \n
- Work independently while collaborating closely with physicians, technologists, and support staff \n
- Scrubs of any color accepted; acrylic nails and hats not permitted \n
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate \n
- Every other weekend coverage required \n
- Candidates with recent permanent staff experience at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months will not be considered \n
- Must not be employed elsewhere full time during assignment \n
