American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Eureka, California.

Location: Northern California coastal region
Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:30). Weekend coverage required to meet staffing needs. 40-hour orientation provided. Assignment duration is 13 weeks.
Highlights:- Care for a culturally diverse patient population in a high-risk obstetrics environment
- Circulate on cesarean sections and assist with vaginal deliveries
- 11 rooms, 15 beds with average daily census of 15-20 patients, approximately 20 visits per day
- Postpartum experience preferred; LDRP and couplet care opportunities
- Work alongside interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- First-time travelers accepted
- Active California RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Epic charting system experience required
- Patient ratio experience: 1-3 patients
- Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs; travelers are first to float
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Maximum 7 consecutive days requested time off
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
This Labor and Delivery position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care in a supportive environment that serves high-risk obstetric patients.
