Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Macon, GA, requiring a minimum of 1 year of ER experience and a valid GA or Compact RN license.

Details
  • Emergency Department (ER) setting within a hospital
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating required within facility scope of practice and to a secondary campus as needed
  • 9-week contract
Requirements
  • Active GA or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum 1 year of ER nursing experience required
  • Current certifications must be on file and available upon request
  • All compliance requirements must be met prior to start date
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted for this position
  • RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
  • If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO allowed; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
  • Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1)
  • No special scheduling requests or alternate shift requests are permitted — the posted night shift schedule is firm
  • Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
  • Candidates who have previously worked at any facility within this health system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler
