Certified Surgical Tech (OR) – Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms before procedures.
• Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure all surgical tools are sterilized and functioning properly.
• Assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers during procedures.
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team while maintaining sterile technique.
• Anticipate surgeon needs during operations.
• Perform surgical counts of instruments, needles, and sponges.
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transport as needed.
• Help maintain patient safety and infection control standards.
• Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures.

Requirements

Required:

• Certified Surgical Technologist experience in the Operating Room.
• BLS Certification.
• CRCST CERTIFICATE
• Experience with:
  • General Surgery
  • GYN
  • Robotics
  • Neuro Surgery
  • Orthopedics
  • Plastic Surgery
  • Urology
  • Burn Surgery
  • Trauma Surgery
• Experience working in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting.
