Adjunct Faculty, Anatomy and Physiology

Position Summary: The Biology Department at Concordia University Irvine seeks applicants for adjunct faculty positions in the area of Human Anatomy & Physiology. The department strives to develop wise and honorable citizens capable of excelling as witnesses of Christ through their various roles within the academic field and elsewhere. Pursuant to this mission, we seek faculty candidates who can articulate the interconnection between their Christian faith and their academic pursuits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Teaching in-person courses and labs in Human Anatomy and Physiology, Bio 246 & 247. See CUI Course Catalog for descriptions
• Conducting office hours, working with full-time faculty colleagues and attending department meetings as available
• Possible participation as an undergraduate student research advisor

Qualification Requirements:

• Successful candidates must: 1) confess the Christian faith 2) demonstrate a commitment to a Lutheran liberal arts education and 3) demonstrate an excellence in teaching subject matter on Human Anatomy & Physiology
• Possess a doctorate or a master's degree in a relevant field
