Job Description
Direct Counsel is seeking a Cybersecurity & Privacy Junior Associate Attorney to join a highly regarded Am Law 100 firm in Washington, D.C.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with 2–3 years of experience to join a nationally recognized Cybersecurity & Privacy practice within a premier Litigation & Trial group. The role offers exposure to sophisticated cybersecurity incidents, data breach response, privacy counseling, and high-stakes crisis management matters.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on cybersecurity incidents, data breach investigations, and incident response.
Assist with privacy compliance matters and emerging cybersecurity regulations.
Support clients through all phases of breach response, including forensic investigations, regulatory notifications, and risk mitigation.
Counsel clients on crisis management strategies related to cybersecurity and data privacy events.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide practical legal and business solutions for complex cyber and privacy matters.
J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
Active Bar membership in good standing.
2–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, data privacy, breach response, incident investigations, or related litigation.
Experience advising clients on cybersecurity incidents and privacy matters is strongly preferred.
Background or experience in information security, computer science, or other technical disciplines is a plus.
Strong analytical, research, drafting, and communication skills.
