A leading dealer group in the Columbia, SC area is seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Manager to lead our busy Parts Department.
You’ll manage our fast-growing Parts Department with access to OEM and aftermarket parts. Work alongside an experienced service department team and enjoy the autonomy to implement best practices in inventory control, vendor management, and departmental profitability. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all parts department operations: ordering, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and retail/wholesale sales
- Collaborate with service advisors, technicians, and sales departments to ensure efficient parts flow and customer satisfaction
- Manage parts department budgets, vendor relationships, and warranty parts returns
- Develop and mentor parts counter staff to meet departmental goals and maintain a customer-focused environment
- Analyze parts sales metrics and implement strategies to maximize gross profit and efficiency
Qualifications:
- Previous Automotive Parts Manager or Parts Department Leadership experience required
- Strong background in inventory control, vendor management, and department operations
- Excellent organizational, communication, and team-building skills
- Experience with CDK is highly preferred
- Ability to manage inventory, forecast parts needs, and control costs
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- A collaborative, team-first mindset
