About the Position:
As a Data Clerk this position is responsible for the entry of all data into the Automated Reentry Management System (ARMS) within Stop Area 5. This position is responsible for the operational aspects of tracking and entering data and following the policies and procedures associated with these activities
What You Will Do:
  • Daily data entry pertaining to STOP participant services.
  • Accurate and timely entry of CBP service data into Launchpad software.
  • Ensure data security as outlined in the ARMS Data Sharing Agreement and fulfill duties and obligations with respect to the protection, use, and disclosure of protected health information.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures that ensure the integrity, accuracy and security of all data maintained and submitted to CDCR.
  • Abide by policies and procedures outlining release of data, maintaining appropriate documentation of participant requests for information and signed Authorization for Release of Information.
  • Data Maintain an accurate Community Based Provider (CBP) directory.
  • Ensure that technical and procedural best practices related to data security are upheld.
  • Participate in annual training provided by CDCR Program area data unit.
  • Attends workshops, meetings, and training as requested by supervisor.
  • May serve as Community Advocate role in addition to job as requested by community leadership.   
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience

Required:

  • Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.

 

Preferred:

  • Data entry experience preferred.

 

Certifications or Licenses:

  • Required: NONE.
  • Preferred: NONE.

 

Skills & Abilities
  • Understand causes, symptoms, and effects of substance abuse.
  • Understand contractual parameters of STOP Data Entry.
  • Understand an array of treatment models available to participants.
  • Operational knowledge of MS-Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Attention to detail, and ability to manage large amounts of data.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ensure that excellence and integrity are applied to professional responsibilities to provide optimal services to participants.
  • Understand and appropriately apply Amity policies and procedures and adhere to agencywide practices and regulations.
  • Demonstrate ethical behavior to maintain professional standards and safeguard the participant.
  • Protect program participants’ health, safety, welfare, and confidentiality of records and participant information.
  • Model professionalism, effective work habits and responsible living.

  • The temperature in the work environment is generally moderate, however can range from hot to cold seasonally.
  • Seldom may be exposed to non-lethal chemical agents as administered in necessary use of force security instances.

 

Travel:

  • Occasionally travels locally and operates motor vehicles.
