We are seeking an instructor of Beginner ESL (English as a Second Language). Program classes provide instruction to our Beginner ESL courses (Basics, Foundations and PREP).
This is a part-time, hourly position.

Example of Duties:
- Provide classroom instruction to participants in our intensive Beginner ESL classes focused on reading, writing, and speaking, in accordance with the College's academic calendar and approved syllabi.
- Maintain scrupulous attendance.
- Maintain and report accurate student grade and attendance records using approved procedures and systems.
- Assist Adult Education staff with student advisement, coaching and registration.
- Meet all scheduled class sessions.
- Utilize the appropriate technology, including the College's student learning platform, to fulfill teaching duties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- Some experience in teaching low-level ESL required.
- Best Plus testing certification is plus.
- Follow curriculum guidelines.
- Expected to be available on the Main Campus in Paterson and at the Passaic Academic Center.
- Ability to work during day, evening, and weekend hours, as program requires.
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay range for this position is $20-$30.
