Scope:

The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing supply chain and operational strategies within the Louisville Distribution Center. This role oversees all aspects of warehouse operations, inventory control, labor planning, and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations. This position serves as a cornerstone of operational execution, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction. Success in this role requires a strong, visible leader who can inspire teams, coach and develop managers and supervisors, and drive a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement. The Senior Operations Manager must also collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives across the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct Management of the Louisville Operations team, which includes, warehouse operations, labor planning, budgeting/P&L, strategics development and execution
  • Ability to present to the executive team complex concepts in a clear and concise manner for the advancement of operational strategies
  • Serve as a key liaison between the customers, suppliers and operations for the execution of goals and initiatives
  • Ensures the staff is compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Analyze operational and financial data to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and drive measurable results
  • Develop, monitor, and manage operational KPIs to ensure achievement of cost-per0unit, productivity, and accuracy, and service-level objectives
  • Implements process improvements by analyzing process workflow, resources, and customer requirements
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing defined standards, practices, and procedures that comply with pertinent governmental and legal regulations and laws
  • Maintains knowledge of current industry standards, technology, and customer requirements within the area of supply chain services
  • Manages a distribution environment that thrives on clear expectations and accountability for performance results
  • Effectively leads, and develops the workforce, including work performance management, coaching, and team motivation
  • Ability to manage peak season where volumes require shift expansion, realignment of labor resources and the management of a significant temporary workforce
  • Collaborates with customers on special initiatives and projects, changes in schedules and/or changes to meet the needs of a dynamic market
  • Demonstrated ability to make operational adjustments, real time, to direct greater output or changing customer demands
  • Displays leadership to the Operations team through strategic goals setting, creative resolutions, employee communication, and feedback consistency
  • Demonstrates a high-level of collaboration and communication within the DC management team and business partners to ensure operational alignment
  • Complies with federal, state and local laws

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of Management level experience in an automated distribution environment with strong understanding of both outbound and inbound operations
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills that enable clear and concise exchanges with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to drive complex projects or problems to a satisfactory solution for all parties involved
  • Proficient computer skills work with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong/effective interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Team player with strong financial acumen and proven results in meeting/exceeding team-based performance goals based on safety, quality, speed, and operating expenses
  • Proven analytical and planning skills
  • Ability to be comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on management environment

Must be fully available during the holiday period from October through December; (including Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving). Candidates that are unavailable during these periods will not be considered, as this is a company-wide blackout policy.
