We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Accounting Clerk to manage full-cycle bookkeeping, reconcile complex accounts, and assist with internal audit preparations. This role requires advanced proficiency in accounting software and the ability to handle high-volume financial data with absolute accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping: Manage day-to-day transactions including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), payroll processing, and general ledger (G/L) entries.
  • Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and inter-company account reconciliations to ensure all records match third-party statements.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare preliminary monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements) for the senior accountant or CFO.
  • Auditing: Conduct routine internal audits to verify the accuracy of invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders. Identify and resolve discrepancies or unusual transactions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all bookkeeping practices comply with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and assist with external auditor requests during tax season or year-end close.
  • Software Management: Utilize advanced ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks Enterprise, SAP, Oracle NetSuite) and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) to automate and streamline data entry.
  • Budget Support: Assist department heads in tracking actual spending against budgeted figures and flagging overages.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting clerk experience.
  • Certifications: CPA or Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation is a strong plus.
  • Skills: Expert knowledge of double-entry accounting, advanced Microsoft Excel, and experience with payroll tax filings.
