Custodial Lead

Valley Center for the Blind is seeking a dependable Custodial Lead to supervise and work alongside a custodial team at the Fresno Air National Guard Base. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining clean, safe facilities while ensuring contract standards are met.

Pay

$19.00 to $20.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full-time (35 hours/week)
• Primarily Monday through Friday
• Some schedule flexibility may be required based on operational needs

What You'll Do

• Lead and work alongside a custodial team on a daily basis
• Perform routine custodial duties including cleaning restrooms, offices, locker rooms, and common areas
• Assign daily work and ensure tasks are completed on time
• Train, coach, and support custodial staff
• Conduct quality inspections and address any deficiencies
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies
• Transport employees, equipment, or supplies as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and military base security requirements
• Communicate with management regarding staffing, quality, or operational issues

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of custodial experience
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain military base clearance
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus

Work Environment

This position is based at the Fresno Air National Guard Base and requires working on-site in a secure environment. Duties include cleaning offices, restrooms, locker rooms, and other facilities while following all safety and security procedures.
