Property Management Training Specialist
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
FLSA Status: Exempt
SUMMARY
The Training Specialist is responsible for delivering and facilitating training programs that support employee success, operational consistency, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this position leads onboarding and role-specific training for new team members, with a primary focus on Property Managers. The Training Specialist travels to company properties to provide hands-on coaching, reinforce company policies and procedures, and ensure new hires are equipped with the knowledge and resources necessary to succeed. This position also supports the implementation of new processes, software, and operational initiatives while partnering with leadership to promote consistency and operational excellence across all communities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead onboarding and role-specific training for newly hired Property Managers and other operational team members.
- Travel to company properties to provide in-person training, coaching, and operational support during the onboarding process.
- Conduct remote training sessions using virtual meeting platforms and other technology as needed.
- Facilitate departmental and role-specific training sessions to support employee development and operational consistency.
- Reinforce company policies, procedures, operational standards, and best practices to ensure consistency across all properties.
- Evaluate employee progress during onboarding and provide feedback and recommendations to managers and leadership.
- Serve as an ongoing resource for Property Managers by answering questions, providing guidance, and assisting with operational challenges.
- Partner with the COO and department leaders to identify training opportunities and support continuous operational improvement.
- Assist with the rollout and training of new company initiatives, software platforms, operational procedures, and policy updates.
- Coordinate training schedules, travel arrangements, and onboarding activities.
- Maintain accurate training records, onboarding documentation, and completion tracking.
- Stay current on property management industry trends, Fair Housing regulations, company policies, and operational standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Additionally, the employee should be able to walk properties as required.
