Warehouse and Shop Yard Manager

The Warehouse and Shop Yard Manager is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, safe, and efficient warehouse, shop, and yard environment. This position oversees yard organization, shop cleanliness, inventory control, material receiving and storage, purchasing of stock materials, and coordination of commonly used supplies and equipment needed to support daily field operations. The role also includes organizing tools, trailers, equipment, materials, and company assets; tracking inventory levels; receiving shipments; maintaining supplier relationships; and ensuring materials are properly labeled, stored, and readily available for crews.

This position is also responsible for assisting with equipment, vehicle, and asset management, including tracking locations and condition, reporting damaged or missing items, coordinating maintenance with the company mechanic, and ensuring company vehicles are kept clean, presentable, and ready for use. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, safety-conscious, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred qualifications include experience in warehouse, inventory, construction, or shop management; basic computer skills; the ability to operate or become certified to operate a forklift; a valid driver’s license; and the ability to lift and move materials up to 75 pounds.
