• Salary : $60000 - $70000/ Year
• Shift: M-F 6:00am - 2:30pm in office, Travel is required 10-50% of the month

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Support Technician to join our client's team in the industrial services sector. In this role, you will contribute to delivering safe, efficient, and reliable service to customers, identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, and providing technical assistance and customer preventative maintenance services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient, and reliable service to customers.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
• Provide technical assistance and customer preventative maintenance services.
• Perform on-site customer warranty work and equipment start-up for larger sifter equipment and other major installations as needed.
• Rebuild and maintain centrifuge RTA's as part of SWECO's centrifuge RTA rebuild program.
• Maintain field test equipment.
• Create and maintain an open and effective communication system between the field sales, customer service, and sales management.
• Troubleshoot equipment and repair to meet customer expectations.
• Provide technical assistance via phone, fax, or other forms of communication.
• Provide application, modification, and warranty information on equipment.
• Complete technical product reports on product problems encountered.
• Provide sales support for visiting customers to conduct field tests on equipment as requested.
• Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet customer demands.
• Handle other requests from management on a timely basis.
• Perform field testing along with quality & safety audits as requested.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Welding experience is required. Certification and/or trade school completion is preferred.
• 5 years mechanical assembly experience is required. Mechanical aptitude, electrical background is preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 requirements and continuous improvement methods.
• Willingness to travel. This position requires 10-50% of travel per month, depending on business productivity. Extensive travel may be required as needed.
• Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive to customer sites to provide services as requested. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid CDL license to drive Sweco Trucks (can be acquired once hired).
• Good interpersonal and sales skills with both internal and external customers, sales representatives, and personnel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Must have initiative and ability to work effectively with little direction and/or few guidelines.
• Excellent analytical, administrative, communications, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications (if any)

• Certification and/or trade school completion in welding.
• Electrical background.
