Role Overview

Air Liquide is seeking a TGCM Operations Technician to support semiconductor manufacturing operations by ensuring safe, reliable, and continuous delivery of gases and chemicals. This role involves working with critical systems that operate 24/7 in a high-safety, high-precision environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain gas and chemical distribution systems
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Conduct daily rounds:
    • Record system readings
    • Perform safety checks
    • Monitor gas/chemical systems and alarms
  • Handle gas cylinder change-outs and chemical drum/tote replacements
  • Perform bulk gas and chemical transfers (including trailers)
  • Troubleshoot issues and escalate when necessary
  • Support Emergency Response Team (ERT) activities
  • Follow all HS&E (Health, Safety & Environmental) standards
  • Assist in training contractors and junior technicians
  • Maintain accurate documentation and operational logs
  • Perform basic sampling and analytical procedures

Hazardous Materials Responsibilities (if applicable)

  • Manage hazardous waste handling, storage, labeling, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with waste disposal regulations
  • Respond to spills and emergency situations
  • Support waste minimization initiatives


Basic Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED OR 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 1+ year of related experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic electro-mechanical aptitude
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to work in regulated environments
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor, chemical, or specialty gas environments
  • Military technical/electronics or nuclear field background
  • Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing operations


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 11 hours per shift
  • Frequent bending and physical activity required
  • Ability to operate equipment such as hydraulic drum pumps (up to 500 lbs drums)
  • Must be able to wear respirator and required PPE


Work Conditions & Additional Info

  • Onsite role (Day 1 reporting required)
  • No driving required
  • No working at heights
  • PPE Requirements:
    • Steel/safety toe boots (leather, no mesh) – candidate must provide
    • Company provides uniform
    • Must wear 100% cotton clothing (pants + collared shirt)
