Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Provide executive oversight of hospital operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of patient care services.
- Develop and execute strategic operational initiatives that support organizational growth, quality outcomes, and financial sustainability.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish operational goals, performance metrics, and organizational priorities.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including patient satisfaction, throughput, length of stay, quality metrics, and operational efficiency.
- Lead organizational change management initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts.
Financial Management
- Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets and operational expenditures.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle performance, cost containment, and resource utilization.
- Analyze financial and operational data to support strategic decision-making and performance improvement.
- Ensure departments operate within budgetary guidelines while maintaining high standards of care and service.
Quality and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including standards established by accrediting organizations.
- Partner with Quality, Risk Management, and Clinical Leadership teams to maintain excellence in patient care and safety outcomes.
- Lead operational readiness efforts for regulatory surveys and accreditation reviews.
- Promote a culture of patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance throughout the organization.
Leadership and Staff Development
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management to directors and department leaders.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professional development, and employee engagement.
- Support workforce planning, succession planning, recruitment, and retention strategies.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across clinical and non-clinical departments.
Education
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), or related field required.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or related field required.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience within a hospital or health system setting.
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale healthcare operations and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with hospital accreditation standards, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.
