Sanitation / Custodian Technician - Now Hiring

Our client, a leading organization in the food production industry, is seeking a Sanitation / Custodian Technician to join their team.  As a Sanitation / Custodian Technician, you will be part of the sanitation department supporting the manufacturing and packaging operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sanitation / Custodian Technician

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY

Pay Range: $20.65/hr

Shift: Overnight, Monday-Friday 9pm-5am
 

What's the Job?

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of production and packaging equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the manufacturing facility, including walls, floors, doors, and other areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as power scrubbers, foamers, and forklifts safely and effectively.
• Remove trash and debris from processing, packaging, and dock areas to maintain a clean environment.
• Follow sanitation schedules and document all activities accurately, including corrective actions when necessary.

What's Needed?

• Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning and sanitation activities.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Willingness to follow established sanitation schedules and protocols.
• Good communication skills to report issues and collaborate with team members.
• Prior experience in sanitation or custodial roles is preferred but not required.
